.Continuation of my camping trip journal - Part 5:
On this day we wanted to explore around a nearby town, Telluride. A former silver mining camp, Telluride is located in a very picturesque box canyon. Several waterfalls stream down from the surrounding mountains above town. To me, it's one of the most spectacular spots in Colorado.
Before we get to the waterfalls though, there are the views you can see on the way there. It was an overcast morning and the clouds were low, just straddling the peaks. Someone had put up several teepees and that view along the road was just irresistible.
Right, so back to the waterfalls. The most famous and most imposing one is called Bridal Veil Falls (5th photo). That was the destination of that day's hike. It is a very steep, rocky and narrow trail to get there, but you are well rewarded with a series of waterfalls such as the one in photo #7 and #8.
I have an abundance of waterfall photos, I just need to decide which ones to share without going overboard... 😂
To be continued.
