I ran out for a short hike

today. I am still adjusting to the shortening days, I left the house just as the sun was setting behind the mountains. No animal sightings today, but as I was returning to my car I had to pause and take out my camera for another show in the sky. This is looking west.

There was also house nearby lit up with Halloween colors, so of course I could not resist snapping a picture. 🎃
