dad was a kid, he used to collect stamps. At that time, stamp collecting was one of the most popular hobbies among boys.

じつほさん’せん’ははじめてみました. ほんによると100せん=1えん. In the text, I noticed a denomination called ‘sen’. It the first time I have seen that. According to the book, 100 sen was the same as 1 yen.

    In the old time of Japan, people used "SEN" for counting money. It's very interesting to see your dad's collection! The orange stamp with the postmark, do you know whether the date's year was Japanese calendar or western calendar?🙄

    My dad also used to collect stamps. He seems to have decided to use these stamps. So when he sends me something, he uses old stamps from his collection 🙂

    @mk yeah, Japan is introduced as an empire rather than a country. A few countries in the book don’t exist anymore.
