I just had an unpleasant encounter. During a conversation I mentioned briefly the fashion culture that was popular 20 years ago in the rural areas of China. It was called Shamate. I kinda respected these young people for dressing in a way they liked compared to what society demanded of them. The woman I talked to called them "disgusting". I really don't like how someone who brags about living in another country and apparently is economically privileged talk like that about people who just live their life in rural areas. China has many people and many ways of living. Just because you disagree with them does not make other people "disgusting". China has more than a billion people. Diversity should be respected.

Recently learned about a cool bird called a Potoo apparently this bird can both see with its eyes opened and closed. Its nickname is "ghost bird" since it has strong camouflage with an errie scream which makes it rather scary to encounter at night.
