"My goal in using HelloTalk is to teach languages in a fun and friendly manner. I love meeting people from different countries and HelloTalk makes it really easy to do that." "I really enjoy helping people by translating or editing their school work or business correspondence. Most importantly, treat people nicely and be aware of different cultures and views.** "My goal in using HelloTalk is to learn about the world and make friends from different cultures, particularly China and Korea. I'm very interested in those cultures and learning these languages." Lochie loves to explore other people's posts and learn about other's cultures. He spends most of his time chatting with friends and answering questions about Australia from people around the world. "I post funny and interesting things which help people learn about the English language and my culture', says Lochie. 'I think other users find it interesting when I post questions about their languages or cultures -- they then see their country from a new perspective." **Lochie's Words of Wisdom** **Post funny things while still remaining respectful to other cultures. It helps if you post interesting questions. They can gain a lot of attention and provoke discussion.** "My goal in using HelloTalk is talking with native speakers of my learned language, helping them with their English and improving my Thai." Daniel spends most of his time on HelloTalk posting about places he's been to and experiences he had. He makes sure he stays in contact with people he has met on the app. Daniel also adds jokes to help make the learning process fun. **Daniel's Words of Wisdom** **Don’t be afraid to post things in your target language, we all learn from mistakes and it's a great way to learn.** "Post interesting stuff regularly. Add jokes or funny stories, and try to make the language understandable for people on a range of levels. Be sociable, don’t be afraid to look who’s online, send out messages and generate conversations. Help people who are learning your native language using corrections, offering suggestions and encouragement." You don't need a comedian to make people smile. No need to tell jokes either.
