our strong Scottish and Irish heritage, North Carolina has carried on in our annual Highland Games, held in the tops of the mile high Grandfather Mountain in the Appalachian range.

Sheef throwing, caber tossing, sword dancing-- we have it all.

During the months of May throigh July, we have several "Highland Games" events throughout North Carolina, in fact.
