English lesson: why you've probably been using 'these days' and

'nowdays' incorrectly.

They do not mean 'recently'.

They are using to compare long-term changes or trends.

If you want to improve 'recently' then use a specific time adverbial: two days ago, last week, over the last month, this year etc. It makes your writing more natural.

@mikan No, don't use it. That's my point. It's being overused and people are using it incorrectly.
