My husband read 'The Hobbit' and ‘The Lord of the Rings’ books

when he was in sixth grade. Since then, he has reread them several times. He has been an avid reader since he was a teenager. 📚
Now he spends most of his time in the kitchen to cook for our family. 👨‍🍳💕
Presently, my eldest daughter is reading ‘The Fellowship Of The Ring’ for her book club. My other daughter is required to read ‘The Hobbit’ and ‘The Fellowship Of The Ring’ for college.
I only watched the movies. ✨😁

I am now reading ’A Thousand Splendid Suns’. I like the two main female characters who have the same husband but I despise the husband.

I’m curious what my hellotalk followers are reading. 🧐

    @Beth I'm happy you understood that🥰💗That book was introduced by my niece but it moved me and gave something special to me🌈😊I'll read books by Hatsume Sato, who already passed away but had helped many people by hearing those who had some trouble with making her omusubi by hand🍙. After reading I'll post about her.

    @かな吉Kana kichi I don’t read regularly and it takes awhile to finish the book due to distractions or too busy or I’m tired. 😞 I will try to read at least three books this year. 👍😃 I hope you have a chance to read. 🍀

    Recently I read books by my favorite author, Ito Ogawa. "Wonder" by R.J.Palacio moved me and gave me much courage a few years ago😊

    I was addicted all of the Harry potter, but I never read orginal books. And I also like "Lord of The Ring" much, but I never read the books to. I am going to find all of "Harry Potter" and "Lord of The Ring" to be my collection books.🥰☺️

    @Beth I watched Little House on the Prairie and Sesame Street. Lol My mother had some Stephen King and Danielle steel books, but I never got to finish any. Oh, you’ll love it. I see it’s from the same Author as the book you are currently reading. I read Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe and also (The Life of Olaudah Equiano Or Gustavus Vassa)

    @.. I read two Shakespeare’s books: Romeo and Juliet and Othello. When I was a child, I read all of ‘Nancy Drew’ mystery books and ‘Little House on the Prarie’ and I also watched the TV shows. 👍😃 Wildlife documentaries ✨ Next book I want to read is The Kite Runner.

    Ha-ha! Just like you, most only watched the movie too. To be honest, before the movie came out, I haven’t heard of any of the books. At school, I read Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men, Shakespeare’s, Macbeth, Hamlet and Romeo and Juliet, before watching the movies. So, it’s the other way around for the both of us. 😂 At the moment, I’m reading selected poems of Christina Rossetti and I’ve finished The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini. I get easily distracted by Television ( wildlife documentaries), so I often read when I’m not at home. 😆
