This just goes to show you how ridiculous hoarding is and how

it makes a bad situation worse. People in Tokyo are hoarding things and waiting in long lines each moring to hoard more. Just outisde of Tokyo, in Nagano shelves are fully stocked. I got toilet paper 4 hours outside the city. People in the countryside are being reasonable during this crisis and they are being stupid and driving themselves nuts in the big city. Glad to see the rest of Japan isn’t being selfish. Take a chill pill Tokyo.

Wow- thanks for that insight. Here our grocery stores close a little early to allow more time to restock. But interestingly enough the Asian supermarkets are fully stocked. Where I live in Orlando, restaurants are still open, but most are only doing curbside pickup or delivery. And we haven’t seen crazy lines at grocery store

Here people are hoarding everything like it will be a natural disaster. Why do you need 10 of the biggest packs of bottles water?? And yes, toilet paper and frozen food all gone. I try to use my little view to other places and seeing your videos and some others to tell people this is not a time to panic.

In himeji the stores don’t have toilet paper either! But recently traveled about an hour out side of the city to the country and i had the same experience. The stores were fully stocked so i bought two packs and gave them to friends who couldn’t find any! Craziness

Tokyo probably isn’t even going on a lockdown! The government is still trying to host the Olympics XD

My only explanation for Tokyo is: 1. Tokyo has the largest number of foreigners. 2. Panic buying is contagious.

@Lauren P Stay safe. This is a mental game more than anything else. Everyone needs to keep rational and calm. Hoarding toilet paper will not save anyone.

@ ЅĊΦtτ Speakingalone The difference between what’s going on in the countryside and in Tokyo is night and day. Things are so calm and people are only taking what they need. It has been so refreshing to come to Nagano and go to Saitama. People are being reasonable in most places in Japan except the big cities.

@Manju kowai That’s good. You are probably more on the west side of the prefecture. The further you get from Tokyo City the better people are taking things. We saw lines all though the city while driving through it this morning. People were at the store entrance lined up ready to hoard.

@Big head Nico They are still holding on to hope that they can have their Olympics. That’s pretty darn optimistic.

@Charles it is! The same exact thing happened right before the typhoon in October. Everyone bought ALL of the food in just one day 😱😱😱

@anming to be honest I've turned off the news and put in my headphones to get away from the nonsense people keep saying. I'm just doing what I can to be safe. 🤷🏻‍♂️

@anming really! So it seems like it depends on city in Tokyo right? This situation is required people’s morals and I’m really sorry when seeing people like that. I’m wondering what they want to buy...maybe masks?
