#1 Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis

I don't recall reading any children's books when I was young. I watched movies sure, but reading is an activity I picked up only in recent years. Because of this I had missed out on a lot of great stories including this one.

I really enjoyed this book. I found it was very entertaining and it's mostly nonsensical nature gives it a real lightness and makes it fun to read. I think one of Lewis Carroll's great talents was his intelligent and often playful use of language that I think both children and adults can appreciate. This would be a very fun book to read with a child and it's many interesting and quirky characters will stay with you long after you finish reading.
