    @maki the boat was hidden in the bushes when we bought the house. We weren’t sure what to do with it so I planted some cosmos in there.

    @Miki maybe, the soil here isn’t that good, a lot of clay. I’ll have to clear out an area and add some better soil or it may have problems putting down a good root foundation.

    @れい yes, “green thumb” is the phrase. I’m learning but there’s so much I still need to learn.

    @kayoko I really like dahlias, but you’re supposed to dig them back up at the end of the season so the bulbs don’t rot. Sadly I’m not that diligent.

    @Miki I don’t have a cherry tree yet. I have magnolias and a camellia that I need to plant, and some almond trees I planted last year. I used to live in a house that had 100 year old cherry tree, it was huge! I miss it, cherry rhubarb pie is my favorite.
