Do you like snow in April?


The sun came out yesterday afternoon as predicted. It was quite a decent storm, I measured 24cm of new snow on Friday before it compacted and then another round came in overnight. I was excited to step out and take in the scenery with the clearing skies, so I donned my snow boots and went to the lake.

I had a nice walk and waited for the sunset. The ice that had been retreating made a comeback and only some shallow areas don't have an ice cover now. The reflections were pretty. I took some playful shots as well and tried some settings on the camera I learned about. There is always something new to learn...

After I was done at the lake I thought of going to one more spot where the western sky would be more visible. Indeed, it was a beautiful sight! I must have looked like a madman, stopping the car on the shoulder, taking a few photos (#8), then jumping back in and driving away. I had to get to that last spot (#9) before it would be too late. 😂

I will tell you about today in another moment. Let me just say the skiing was fantastic and I am well satisfied, if physically exhausted (yes, I am getting old 😟). I will have to go through my photos and hopefully will find something worthwhile to share.
