When 그래도 is used for still(그래도 have two meaning), it’s related to someone’s act or status usually. For examples, “I was sick. So I couldn’t study.” “but you got an A. 너 그래도 좋은 성적을 받았어.” “I’m so sorry what I told you.” “I’m fine. you are still my friend. 괜찮아. 그래도 넌 내 친구야.”

아직도 is related to time as you said. And sometimes include negativity. You can use that for expressing disappointment or astonishment.

For an example, Someone challenge the most longest squat. “She is squatting 7 hours” “She’s still squatting? 아직도 스쿼트를 하고 있다고?” So, 아직도 is not only used in negative ways.
