for culture, language exchange and to make international friends. This is what HelloTalk is for and what I use it for. However, after 1 recent event that has been bothering me for days has me quite leary and scared.

I engaged in a language exchange with a member, he said he wanted a relationship. After I declined he threatened to commit suicide, since that day I have not heard from him and can't see his profile anymore. I have had sleepless nights and stressful days due to this. All I can do is pray for his safety...

Please everyone, I beg you not to misuse this app! Don't harm other members with words and threats, some of us are truly here to learn 😭
