English Slang: Lesson #1 “Killin’ it/Killed it” 😂

I was chatting

with one of my language partners and I thought to share with everyone too!

“Killed it/Killin’ it” is a popular phrase said between friends like teenagers and young adults. Kill typically means like death, but not in this situation😅

You say it positively or like an exaggeration when something is completed like...

A. Did you see Ashley dancing out there?!
B. Yeah, she was killin’ it! 😎 (Positively saying she is an amazing dancer!)

- Or -

A. What happened to all the beer?
B. I killed it 😝 (An exaggeration of saying you drank it all 😅)

Is there a slang term like this in Japanese?

    First one is similar to やばい in Japanese, maybe. A.アシュリーとダンスしてきたの？ B.そう！彼女超やばかった(ヤバかった)よ〜(超＝very やばい＝awesome) ヤバい エグい 半端ない are used like this. drank it all←I can’t find Japanese slang like this meaning🤔

    "kill the time" is translated into "時間をつぶす" in Japanese. つぶす means "crush", so I think the two expressions have similar thought. This is not a slang, though😝

    @Takaaki oh “to crush” is like another kind of slang you could say instead of kill. Like “Crushing it!” Haha they are similar in slang 😂

    Ah thanks for sharing! Young people also says やばたん means やばい , エモい means much emotional.
