also known as Penang, is a state in Malaysia made up of Penang Island and part of the mainland called Seberang Perai. Its capital is George Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for old buildings, street art and multicultural life.

● Penang is called the “Pearl of the Orient” and is well known for its delicious street food such as Char Kway Teow, Assam Laksa and Nasi Kandar. The state has a mix of Malay, Chinese, Indian and other cultures, making it rich in traditions and festivals.
