There are some accounts out there who are pretending to be native English speakers when they’re not. To me, it’s extremely frustrating to see.

I understand people want to make friends on here and that it’s sometimes very hard for non-English speakers to find people to talk to. However, you are doing a disservice to those who want/need to learn English. I think it’s selfish to fulfill your own social and emotional needs at the cost of others.

Find another way to make friends. This app is for learning, there are many social media apps where you can make friends. Even typing this I’m already starting to feel angry. If you are one of these people, please take down your account or put in your introduction that you are not a native speaker. There’s no justification for your lies.
