Так вот, Терендез (Трндез) — это армянский праздник, который отмечается 13 февраля. Он напоминает русскую Масленицу с элементами дня Святого Валентина. ⁠⠀
Главные действующие лица праздника — это молодые супружеские пары и просто влюблённые юноши и девушки.⁠⠀

Традиционно молодожёны и влюбленные прыгают через костёр, взявшись за руки, что символизирует единство перед вызовами, с которыми придётся столкнуться в жизни.⁠⠀

So, Trndez is an Armenian holiday which is celebrated on February 13. It is similar to the Russian Maslenitsa with some elements of Saint Valentine's Day. It is one of the most beloved holidays among newly-weds and couples in love. ⁠⠀

Traditionally newly-weds and couples make bonfires in their yards, make circles and go around the bonfire, they jump over the flames holding hands, which symbolizes their unity in the face of upcoming life challenges. ⁠⠀
