When people call me “cute” I just want to die a little bit inside

. Please stop calling me cute.

I’m a 30-year old woman.

I’m working really hard to change the way I speak (yes even my voice), dress and my habits to seem more mature. When you call me cute it makes me feel like a child.

    Hope you were not offended. Many Chinese people deem “cute” as the best praise to someone’s appearance. They mean “you are pretty gorgeous!” by that way.

    @小红 I hang out mostly around boys (who were all older than me). And whenever they call me cute it was always to tease me for being childlike because I’m clumsy, usually higher voice etc. So even now if someone calls me cute romantically, I can’t disassociate the two. I immediate think they are calling me a child. I rather look mature and 30. 😅😅😅 and stay 30 forever

    @Eddie卓 I don’t think it’s a curse haha. Some women like being called cute because it means they’re young or very feminine. I grew up as a tomboy around older people, so I never desired to be cute.
