After waking up at 3, we drove to see the sunrise. I made coffee and talked with friends. We stayed 2 meters apart, of course!

Question: how is this best translated? "we maintained 2 meters of separation"? I'm not familiar with the language used around Covid.

    @Matthew 入れる is more natural than 作る for coffee/tea
