@toto The college (the term) has not started yet. Üniversite henüz başlamadı. 大学はまだ始まってない。 It's meaning-wise translation😊

@toto There are 12 different type of times in English; simple past tense, past progressive tense, perfect past tense, past perfect progressive tense, simple present tense, progressive present tense, perfect present tense, present perfect progressive tense, simple future tense, future progressive tense, perfect future tense, future perfect progressive tense. Turkish has only 5 tense. Sometimes the meaning and the tense are different. Akşama partiye gidiyorum. (Present tense) I will go to the party tonight. (future tense) It's written in present continuous tense in Turkish, but the meaning is future tense. So direct translation doesn't work always.😊

@Emre『恵夢冷』エムレ it is like japanese present tense(aorist), 食べます means I eat and I will eat(or i am going to eat) in english.

@toto Actually Turkish have seven tenses that I just realized. Geniş zaman (-er, -ar) Geçmiş zaman (-di) Geçmiş zaman (-miş) Şimdiki zaman (-yor) Gelecek zaman (-acak) (Progressive) Geçmiş zaman (-yordu) Progressive Geçmiş zaman (-yormuş) Actually the two past tense in Turkish, gives the verb same meaning time-wise but the meaning of sentence changes in another way. So I will consider those tenses the same and stick to 5 tenses. Japanese have 4 tense as far as I know. past tense(〜た) past progressive (〜ていた) present-future tense (〜る) present progressive (〜ている) Tenses are not simple grammetical rules but they must change the meaning time-wise in a sentence. Two tenses can form a new tense if they are being used in a compatible way in the language. (V)》Verb 4 Past Tense: (V)-ed was (V)ing had (V)ed had been (V)ing 4 present tense (V) am (V)ing have (V)ed have been (V)ing 4 future tense will will be (V)ing will have (V)ed will have been (V)ing 12 tenses in English.

@Emre『恵夢冷』エムレ 日本語は未来形はないと言われている。 There is not future form in Japanese, it is said so. When I write about something in the future I use like this, 僕は勉強するだろう。 but when I speak about something in the futute I use like this, 勉強するよ。 In Japanese it is important at the things around subject, not subject. Maybe in Japanese it is not very important at tense so there are not many forms for tense. -di For example I ate -yordu I was eating If they are translated into English.
