先日、姉といとこを新しいラーメン屋さんへ連れていき、ごちそうしました。
The other day, I took my

sister and my cousin to a new ramen shop in town and treated them for a meal.

とても美味しかったです。
It was very delicious.

ラーメンと餃子を食べました。
We had ramen and gyoza.

食事をしていると、いとこが突然「私は他の国の料理を食べるのは初めてだからとても嬉しい。連れて来てくれてありがとう。」と言われました。
While we were eating, my cousin suddenly said, "I'm very happy because I've never eaten food from another country before. Thank you for bringing me here.”


私のいとこは父の故郷の田舎から、私の住んでいる市まで出稼ぎに来ていたので、珍しい料理にとても驚いていました。
My cousin had come to my city from my dad’s hometown in the countryside as a migrant worker, so he was very surprised at the unusual cuisine.

大げさに言っているのかと思いましたが、感謝されてすごくびっくりしました。
I thought he was exaggerating, but I was very surprised when he thanked me.

ラーメンをごちそうしただけで幸せになってくれたと思うと嬉しかったです。
It made me happy to think that he was happy just because I treated him to ramen.
