Idiom of the Day

“Pulling rank”

When you “pull rank,” you are

using your authority or using your superior position to overtake someone else’s position. Maybe you are a manager, and you must “pull rank” on an employee who maybe is not doing their job properly. You take over the task and give them a secondary task instead. Sometimes we can joke and “pull rank” and get a bigger slice of cake or move ahead in line. But in general, it is usually not a good idea to “pull rank” unless it is necessary.

ㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎ;;somebody help me?;;😭

@Scott Cecil Allen Its meaning is similar pull rank. In Korea, when somebody who has power or superior position than others uses his or her power to bully someone who is weak in company or school is called "Ggondae".
