Why can't I use the translate function?

If it shows "Translation request timed out. Please tap to try again" or "Translation failed, there may be network failure", please try the following steps first:

  1. Log out and log in to HelloTalk again

  2. Exit the app completely and re-launch app

  3. Try to connect with a different Wi-Fi or mobile network (4g/5g)

If you are still experiencing the same issue, you can submit a report using this form. This way our developers can look into this straight away and fix it if necessary.
