A menudo veo en los escritos aquí el uso de la palabra “nowadays

” que significa hoy en día. De hecho esta palabra perece un poco antigua. A veces puede oírla pero casi nadie la escribe. Es más común usar “these days” o simplemente “now”.

Por ejemplo:
Long car rides used to be boring but these days kids have mobile devices to entertain themselves.

I saw Mary all the time when we had classes together but now I never see her.

    @Slendie It depends on the context. In the 2 examples I gave using “currently” instead would not sound as natural.
