Idiom of the Day: are “pulling your leg,” you are asking them if they are joking with you or pranking you. You find that whatever it is that they are telling you seems improbable, and therefore must be a joke. This can be said in a funny way like if someone tells you they won the lottery, or in a serious way like someone telling you that your car is missing.
“Pulling my leg”
If you ask someone if they
“Honey, can I buy this purse for $399?”
“Are you pulling my leg? This is very expensive! Besides, did your other eight purses get holes in them?”
