Please Avoid These Errors in Writing and Speaking English
Ordinarily
we say , 1️⃣ '' Please give me some place to sit '' when we board a bus or train.
This is ❌. We should say✅ '' Please give me some room to sit ''.
'place' refers to ' an area where sth already exists ' , where as
'room' refers to ' space which is still unoccupied '.
How can you sit in a place where sth / sbd already exists ?
So say ' room ' not ' place ' when you are on buses , trains or other such vehicles.
2️⃣ '' He don't like this food .'
This is ❌. We should say ✅'' He doesn't like this food. ''
'He' is a singular pronoun.
So use ' does / does n't ' with singular nouns and pronouns.
3️⃣'' It is my most favourite movie. ''
This is ❌. We should say ✅'' This is my favourite movie.''
Adjectives like ' favourite ' , ' ideal' , ' impossible ' etc are already Superlative Adjectives . They don't have ' positive ' and ' comparitive ' degree forms.
So don't use ' est ' or ' most ' with these adjectives.
