Firstly, you can prepare some gifts to welcome them and say hello to them. Secondly, you can eat some special food or home-cooked dishes. Finally, you can talk about your body, family, children and future plans

I think it depends on which city your wife comes from.Take my hometown—Guangdong province—for example,we may show you our “ancestral hall”,do some traditional ceremonies, introduce our ancestors’ life and history(where they came from originall/why they leave their original hometown etc.)As China is one of the oldest countries in the world,Chinese people likes talking about history... As what kind of food they might entertain you, ummm, I can’t say...Cause there are so many kinds of styles of cooking in China, two neighboring villages may cook totally different styles...

首先互相介绍家庭成员,然后做一些好吃的,我家乡的特色菜品有猪肉炖粉条,排骨炖豆角,鲶鱼炖茄子,小鸡儿炖蘑菇 First, introduce the family members to each other, and then make some delicious dishes. The specialties of my hometown are pork braised vermicelli, ribs braised bean, catfish braised eggplant, and chicken braised mushroom,接着向客人介绍当地的风土人情和文化 Third, introduce the local customs and culture to the guests.

    1. Maybe we could visit some touristic places, like Paulista Avenue, Ibirapuera Park or any place which matches with your interests. 2. For lunch, we could go to a churrascaria ('cause your barbacue is way different then ours), to a feijoada restaurant or even eat some home-cooked rice and beans. For dinner, pizza!! Also way different tha yours. 3. Everything related to culture and habits.

@Jenny_P The best part of culture exchange is that people who prepare the dishes don’t have to be excellent cooks because the other person doesn’t know what it is supposed to taste like 😁

@Austin Good point!Actually I thought about this after I made the audio. It's like I have never been to America, if u treat me local food, I can't tell it's authentic or not. But, as a Chinese, I am friendly, I wanna give the best to my friend who come from afar.😄😄😄

@Austin Well, from what I see in movies and TV series, your barbecue is like a hamburger (sometimes I see franks, too) and then you eat them with bread. Here we roast beef, pork sausage and/or chicken and we eat with rice, vinaigrette salad, farofa, mayonnaise of vegetables or eggs. This the most traditional way in São Paulo and I think in Rio, too. But in steakhouses, they have everything related and not to barbecue hahahah. Regarding to pizzas, I usually see cheese and pepperoni flavors (and that you roll it as a cone to eat😁). Here, there's no limits for your creativity when it comes to pizza. Specially flavors hahaha. You can mix ingredients, make them sweet (chocolate pizzas, for example), fill the borders of it with catupiry, cheddar, or wathever, you can make them of different sizes... That's why sometimes we've got to use cutlery to eat pizza hahaha
