It’s very hard to make “friends” on HelloTalk because a lot of

people tend to ghost or delete their accounts without telling you anything. I’ve already been ghosted about 5 times🤣 so I don’t try to get close to anyone anymore lol

    @Teresa And more harder than that is finding someone to actually help you and have nice conversation i have requested 600+ people till now just few hello back nothing else 😢 and some abusing from boys,laughing at my accent.....i have texted you Too...     I'm actually guilty on that...lol 😅 I feel so bad! Mostly it's because I get overwhelmed by the messes on my inbox so I take a break from talking with people time to time. I'm pretty sure there's nothing wrong with you!

    @Teresa happens same to me!!! I wanted to have long term friendship for improving our language. even they said same to me but suddenly delete their account.. it’s really sad:

    I have found that it's fun to make friends with people who are learning the same language as you. Its an easy icebreaker and the learned language provides an ongoing topic of conversation so that the messages don't just kind of taper off. I have probably made more japanese learner friends on here than actual japanese friends.

    Creo es reflejo de la sociedad que tenemos . Mucha gente tiene prisas para todo, se dispersa con cientos de contactos , pero no se implica con nadie. Mucha gente se piensa que la vaca de leche , pero a la vaca hay que ordeñarla 😉

    In this app, i think a lot of fake people and perverts guys.. So you'd better to use to improve your foreign lanuage than make some friend. I also use just improve my language. ☺

    @Juliana I agree, but the main reason to use this app is to practice, if in the process you make friends ,that's great .the problem I have with people using this app as a mere instagram is that they lower the standards of this app by doing a shitty work practicing languages, sometimes people just post their pictures and nothing more, and that is lame

    @RiK try to talk everyday, the whole day with the same person and then not get attached. Of course the app is to learn, but you can also construct good relationships here. I have a friend I met here we started practicing but then we noticed we have a lot in common so we started to virtually hang out and now im visiting him this summer...
