Did some exploring in Centralia, PA. Silent Hill is based on

this city! A coal mine fire started in the 60’s and is still burning today - it may burn for another 250 years. Therefore it is one of the known so-called “hell holes” in the world.

The town was mostly evacuated on the 90’s, and many of the buildings are now torn down.

We mainly wanted to see what remained of the graffiti highway, an abandoned stretch of road that East once completely covered in art. Earlier this year the owner dumped some mounds of dirt on it due to the influx of visitors they were getting due to COVID.
