    @Will That is the common problem with unnative speakers， I guess so. Just imagine how Chinese or Japanese people speak English in less perfect tones. So don't feel frustrated！Speak out and loud！ You are super enough！

    @阿潇 nah I still feel like the tones are, st least for me. With every language you need to memorize vocabulary, but with Chinese it’s easier because the characters give you clues. But people always tell me my tones are off even if I do my pitch in the correct direction of the tone.

    @Will Then don't. You put in your intro saying you’d like to learn Japanese soon, once you mastered Chinese, the hardest part of Japanese (kanji) will become a tiny little piece of cake.

    Trust me, Mandarin is not that hard as Cantonese has 9 tones
