Excited vs. Exciting

Exciting is used to describe SOMETHING

that is making you excited.

Example:
- The movie is exciting

Example 2:
🧑🏼‍🦰: I went to a football game
👨🏻‍🦲: How exciting!

Excited is used to describe WHEN someone IS happy about something or eager.

Example:
- I was excited to go to the movies with my friends.

- I was excited to see the concert, but was later disappointed. 😔

Another way to think of it is:

If something is exciting, then the person is excited!

If someone is excited, they are doing something exciting!!!
