I see a lot of people saying that they are afraid to travel to

US because of shootings and racism. Please don't be afraid. There are 300 million of us who live our lives every day in the US without worrying about such things. Does gun violence happen at an alarming rate? Yes, I don't deny that. Does racism exist here? Yes, but it exists in literally every country. If you want to travel here, you shouldn't be worried, just use your common sense. The same advice can be given for any country. Every country has problems, there is no utopia on this planet. If you ask me how many times have I witnessed or experienced gun violence here, the answer is zero. If you ask me how many times I've experienced racism here, the answer is maybe once. The news likes to sell fear and divide us further based on nationality. That's what keeps the ratings high. Every country has problems. When I travelled in Europe, I was told to be wary of pickpocketing. When I travelled in Asia, I was told to be careful of scams. But if you walk around and see, you'll find that the vast majority of people are good people. So please don't be afraid to travel here. This country has a lot to offer!

    생각해보니까 진짜 맞는말같아요! 저도 유럽갔을때 소매치기 조심하란말을 들었었지만 막상 가방열린지도 모르고 하루종일 돌아다니고도 안전하게 돌아왔다는.. 미국 꼭 가보고싶어요 ㅎㅎ

    When I went to the US, I met good people and ate some good food. So I understand what you’re saying. It’d be different depending on the personality but we wouldn’t travel anywhere, If we mind these.

    @Yoicar13 Yeah, I wish it wasn't difficult. It sucks that the country you're born into dictates where you can travel

    I can't agree with you more about the US as a person who has been there 5 times, but seaking of some countries in 유럽, well.. 저는 유럽에서 소매치기 당한 적이 있고, 현지인 친구들도 자기 나라 좀도둑들이 많다고 해서 조심하는 게 좋긴 해요. I needed to write some parts of the sentence in Korean not to hurt those who are from the content...^^;;
