    resume can be as a verb which means to start to do something. as a noun is 简历.dessert is a kind of sweet food.desert means 沙漠，another meaning is 荒凉的

    resume做简历是来源于法语，发音也是；做动词讲发音也不同是继续，重新获得的意思哈

    Resume在法语里面是总结，简述之类的意思。法语里面简历是CV。到了英语里两个词都变成简历，但是resume比CV更简单，CV是比较详细的简历。 Desert和dessert这两个词也是从法语里来的，在法语发音规则里两个元音中的s发z的音，而ss则正常发s的音，所以虽然词形相识到很好区别。到了英语里两个单词都发z的音，但是desert的第一个e发e的音，dessert的第一个e发i的音。
