Q: You are from Ireland 🇮🇪, how come you speak English as your native language and not Irish? 💬

Here is my answer!

    @Emma Still that.

@Tara I heard Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 would held a referendum to leave the UK after Brexit. Is it right?

@Tara Hmm, it appears that it's very complexed. I will find out the history in the Wikipedia.
  • 源 Yuan

    I didn't know Irish before.
  • Tara

@おじいちゃん no they are leaving Europe with the UK
  • おじいちゃん

The northern Ireland is going to leave the UK after Brexit, right?
  • Emma

I insist that my nephews should speak our first language (not Mandarin because there are many different languages in China). Otherwise it's going to be lost.
  • Tara

@lllllIIIlll no it’s okay! No need to apologize :) yes you’re correct. Actually, we got our independence in 1930-1940s. Northern Ireland is apart of the UK because of the colonialism before and we could never get them back unfortunately.
  • Ms Active Couch Potato

Sad fact but i love your accent. Think its beautiful. If you dont mind please let me you speak. Very much appreciated.
  • lllllIIIlll

@Tara Sorry, I don't know much about irish history. In my knowledge, Irish colonized around late 19th century, but Irish people asserted that they want the independence, and there was violation around northern Ireland. And Irish get independence around 1970s. Is it true? My apologies if I misunderstood. And what I want to know is why northern ireland is a part of britain not a part of ireland. This causes Brexit issue as a way of "backstop" can you tell me what was it? I caught some words from news so far but didn't understand proeperly
  • Tara

@lllllIIIlll yes, and Irish people get very offended when they are called British 😂
  • lllllIIIlll

@Tara Is irish and british ethically different?
  • kisroyuan RB

    Thanks for sharing

@Abraham Koh yeah it’s true.. ireland has tried to do a lot of things to keep the language alive but it’s slowly disappearing :(
  • Abraham Koh
