Where Are We?

So many people,
Far too often,
Feel alone and

sad,
Anxious about life.

The world isn't right,
Their lives aren't the same,
Why is this happening?
It feels there's no where to turn.

Some turn to others,
Some turn to drugs,
Some turn to religion,
Many turn to the wall.

Their lives aren't right,
The food tastes different,
The mind never stops,
It feels like the wheel stopped.

They want the wheel to start,
They want the wheel to roll,
They want the freedom to choose,
They want the fear to stop.

Sharing lives, sharing joy,
Seems too hard to imagine,
A simple smile is like a match,
And can relight a lost soul.

Be the match that lights the spark,
For yourself and your world,
And all those you touch,
To help them find their fire within.

Together many sparks become a flame,
And when your spark is low,
The flames of others will fill you,
Building your fire back.

This time will end, the flames will not,
This time can build relationships,
That can last forever,
