Hey everyone!

I have another English phrase for you today!

The phrase is “Give the cold shoulder” you may also hear gave or giving the cold shoulder too. This means choosing to ignore or make clear that you are not interested in engaging by saying as little as possible.

For example:
Ben: my girlfriend gave me the cold shoulder all day today because I forgot to do the dishes last night.

Please note: Giving someone the cold shoulder is thought to be rude.

I hope you found this helpful!

Thanks!
