What is war like? What is really like
? My generation has never experienced war on a global scale, a war that involves most parts of the world like the First World War or the Second. For those who have experienced war of any kind, I’m sure that they’ll agree that it’s the worst possible action taken by human beings. How can we as human beings say that we’re civilized, while killing hundreds or even thousands of our fellow men and women? Saving Private Ryan is a great movie, not only because Tom Hanks is in it, but that movie is the closest most of us (thankfully) we’ll get to an actual war. In a very realistic way, it shows the devastation caused by war in terms of the destruction of entire cities and the loss of human life. But, it’s also a story of courage and brotherhood, lasting friendships and values worth dying for. Most importantly, it’s a reminder of why we should avoid war at all cost.
