I love cooking and I really love spicy food.
So,today I decided

to make spicy salsa using my grandmother’s mortar and pestle.
This mortar is a family heirloom in my family.
My grandmother passed away and I’m grateful that my family decided to give it to me. Besides the salsa I cooked rice and flank steak to eat with my salsa.

@Nao Ogoshi Really, wow that’s so interesting. So, spicy food isn’t super common in Japan?

@Lau Normally we don’t have a custom to eat spicy food, rather prefer to mild one. I think it came from the climate here. If you go down to the tropical countries F.I. Malaysia and Thailand, you can’t believe how hot food they eat. Having said so, our neighboring country Korea, eat lots of spicy one by the name of Kimuchi.
