I hate it when non-native English speakers on this app correct

other people’s English posts and their correction is completely wrong 😭

Also, my friend who is learning English uses this app and she tells me that she speaks better English than some people on this app who pretend to be fluent English speakers.

Be careful when you talk to people on this app because they might not be as good at English as they claim.

    @abdelhadi08 Today, I saw someone’s post that was completely grammatically correct, but somebody corrected the post (even though it was perfectly written) and the correction was very wrong 😭

    Yea, sometimes I even correct their sentences in our conversations. That’s kinda awkward... then I just run away lol 😂

    @Greg 大叔 oh my god, it’s so annoying 😭 why do they try to teach a language they don’t even speak that well 😭 and a lot of the time they don’t seem that interested in learning their target language either, so they are actually on this app to practise their English, but their English doesn’t improve because they’re practising with other non native speakers 🤣

    @Gaol yes, it would be better if they just ignored the post. whenever I don’t know how to correct something, I just ignore the post

    I completely agree! Doesn’t it make your eyes roll when you see someone post something this? “I am English teacher, help you learning English language.”

    @Kyle カイル maybe if someone isn't sure about the correction they wouldn't correct the text, because people who are learning Could feel confused about the right way to speak

    @Hiram Santiago yes, true. but my main problem is when someone corrects something someone has written and their correction is wrong. if you aren’t a native speaker/don’t have great knowledge of grammar then I don’t think you should correct advanced grammar. even translators who are translating into English (and aren’t a native English speaker) have to have someone proofread what they have written, and you have to speak English very well to be a translator. it’s okay to make typos sometimes, I do that too 🤣

    Yeah that is true but at the same time we should admit be native speaker doesn't mean you speak the language perfectly, for example my native language Is Spanish and sometimes I do typos in Spanish too haha

    @Omar Arellano thankfully that hasn’t happened to me before 😭 although I have spoken to a native Spanish speaker who spoke Spanish worse than me 🤣🤣🤣

    Same thing with some native spanish speakers trying to correct Spanish learners but they corrections are wrong 🙊
