Do you guys have boot slippers like these in Japan? I seem to

remember a Japanese friend of mine being surprised when I said that these are slippers and not shoes 🤔

    @lghxyt that's why I was surprised to learn that my Japanese friends were surprised! I assumed indoor slippers like these boot-style ones are common around the world. They're extra warm in colder weather

    @lghxyt these can only be worn inside. The soles are made of material that would fall apart easily when worn outside. It's soft and made to be worn indoors

    We call those just “boots.” Japanese think slippers are thin, small shoes used inside a house or toilet room.

    I’d say they’re kind of common here on Mexico, but they’re probably not, because they just look like some kind of boots that are used here
