It's the 75th anniversary of the Hiroshima atomic bombing. I

visited the city back in 2016. It was an eye opening place, and you could feel the history. The peace memorial museum was especially poignant.

The second World War wasn't even that long ago, which is crazy when you consider how horrific the atrocities committed during that time were. In the UK, we learn everything about both World Wars in school. Of course, I had family who served. 🇬🇧

I don't think that world peace will ever happen, but living history is important for the future.

I was born in Hiroshima. My mother suffered from the aftereffects of the atomic bomb, but died a few years ago. I believe humanity should never use nuclear weapons again.

@Luke Thank you for your reply. I don't hate America that used the atomic bomb. I want to believe that the world will be peaceful by learning the tragic facts of the atomic bomb, but it becomes sad and frightening to see the arrogance and selfishness of the dictators of several great power countries these days.

@Shoji Events like Hiroshima and the war in general should educate the world, but unfortunately there will always be powerful maniacs. Let's hope for a peaceful future.
