@Farewell Thank you as always Claire!! 😄 It’s always helpful! I want to say it was a healing spot. Also hi would I say ‘somewhere here’? I was trying to do that. So when I explain what something is, I should end with a 事?

I think you can say, 癒える場所 (いえるばしょ) 癒える = healing (by itself) 癒す = to heal sth If you say, 心の癒える場所 (こころのいえるばしょ) then you can imply it's the place where your mind gets healed.

When explain sth, and want to say, [Subject] is [something]. In Japanese, it's [Subject] は [description] の/という こと (です)。

癒*される場所。 凍った湖の上*で 本当に別の世界。 This sentence is perfect as is, but you can take out the particle, “の” and say “別世界(べっせかい) as well!

@ernest Ah, I see! In this case, I’d say; 心が癒される景色です. Which is a more direct sounding tho. With regards to ‘somewhere here’, I’d translate it into Japanese like this; この辺りでは. I think this way of saying sounds semantically natural in Japanese. Hope this helps!😃

@ernest I’ll add one more thing. When you explain what something is, you could omit 事 in the end. It’s actually individual preference. 😌

@Takumi @Farewell Thank you for the explanations! I think I get it. 心の癒える場所=mind healing place 心が癒される場所=mind gets healed place Am I right? 🤔

@Takumi Thank you. That’s very clear. I’ve heard of と言うこと but not の事。 I guess the latter is more casual. And it fits the casual tone that I use in my posts.

@Kumi 「雄大な」教えてくれてありがとう!😄雄大な自然に心が癒されました。合ってる?This “に” is like the preposition “by.” Is that right? I’m glad it could spread some peace to you. 😁

@Farewell I see! 🤓 It’s more blunt saying it like that. Thanks for explaining how to say somewhere here. このあたりでは.

@ernest Yes, that's right! 心の癒える場所=mind healing place 心が癒される場所=mind gets healed place Now that I remember the other expression, I would use the latter. It's more commonly said, and you hear it very often.
