Hello everyone!

My English tip for you today is on the word

“score.” The word score is typically used meaning the record of points made or lost in a game - or often used in the context of the number of points received on a test for correct answers. However the word “score” is also used with the meaning to get something you want.

For example: I was able to score the last piece of cake at the party last night!

Keep in mind this isn’t used all the time and it’s important to note- “score” is not used in the context of something you need, but only something you want.

I hope you found this helpful!

Thanks guys!
