Hey guys

I have a quick question.
Is it natural

or common to use Hello in the first of business emails?

Since I have never seen it before.

To keep it more professional, you can say “Dear” or “To the members of the ___ company” :)

The 2nd option I gave might be too formal but people use it sometimes.

Yeah, I would think it wouldn’t hurt. You can also use greetings that can match the time of day it is. As such, if it is the morning, you can start off with “Good morning, (so and so)”, and then carry onto your email :D

Many software programs automatically insert "Hi ...". I think this is much too informal for a first email.
