밤 = night

/evening
오후 = PM/evening
can somebody explain why you say 밤 11 and not 오후 11? ... I learnt to use 오후 for "pm" ..

    오후(pm) is 12hour. and can seperate 점심 저녁 밤 etc

    오 means noon 후 means after so 오후 means afternoon like after 12:00 so 오후 11시 밤 11시 both of them are okay more info 전 means before so 오전 means before noon before 12:00

    오후 also means afternoon so we use that word “밤”

    오후 11시 is a bit formal. When you make an appointment with clients or write a business email, 밤 is not good choice, I think. With my friends, I prefer to say 밤 11시, 밤 10시, 밤 9시, 밤 8시 or 저녁 8시, 저녁 7시, 저녁 6시, 오후 5시, 오후 4시. And 밤 12시, 밤/새벽 1시, 밤/새벽 2시 ~~.
