Check out this Funny coincidence between Egyptian Arabic and

Canadian English!

In Canada we use “eh?” At the end of sentences very frequently- for example

🇨🇦
How’s it going, eh?

Quite a day,eh?

What a game, eh?

And in Egyptian Arabic eh? Is also used often
🇪🇬

إيه

Ackbarik eh?

Issmik, eh?

Amalah, eh?

——
Of course, the meaning of eh? Is a bit different in the languages. In Egyptian Arabic it’s basically “what” and in Canadian it’s has a few meanings such as checking for agreement or interest from the listener.

Do you have any interesting coincidences between dialects and languages you would like to share?!

@Leo very interesting, Canadian English uses it but American English doesn’t(except for a small region in the north of the USA)

We use "eh" (often with the word "işte") to mean "not bad", "so so" or "-ish" in Turkey
