In Britain, you are never far from a Castle. As a child I was

always fascinated with them, and visited many with my parents growing up. Throughout the summer many events, such as jousting, sword fighting tournaments and costume festivals take place in castles around the country. They are also commonly used as venues for dramatic plays or orchestral performances. Some Castles are extremely well preserved, and some continue to be used as royal residences. My favourite are the Castles you can find whilst out on a hike. Many can be found sitting alone on a hillside or in a forest, just waiting to be explored. If you visit Britain, be sure to go and explore some of these historical buildings and ruins. If you are lucky, and go at the right time, you may have it all to yourself and get some great pictures 😁🏰📷🥾

What's the difference between whilst and while?
  • Luke 瑠海空 2021.01.28 16:29

@Nur Whilst in more common in British English, whereas While is more commonly used in American English. Whilst is also more flexible....In standard British English and Australian English, whilst, as a conjunction, is synonymous with although, whereas, but or while. Unlike whilst, while is also used as a noun (as in "rest for a while") or a verb (as in "while away the hours"). ... In American English, whilst is considered to be pretentious or archaic. I hope this helps 😁

@Luke 瑠海空 So, if let say, we're gonna use that in essay, do we need to identify the sentences first?
