Idiom — “Keep your chin up!” Or “Keep that chin up!” (Either

way is fine ☺️)

A lot of times, when people start to feel bad, defeated, or sad— you’ll see them tilt their head down or look at their feet. “Keep your chin up!” is something you say to comfort or encourage someone to remain positive in a difficult situation.

✔️Examples

•As the boy started to give up because his soccer team was losing by two goals, his mother yelled from the crowd, “keep that chin up!”. Don’t give up yet, you still have enough time to score!

•Despite all of his health problems, grandfather always keeps his chin up and lives everyday to the fullest.

•It must not be easy to have a spouse who is in the military. You just have to keep your chin up and pray for the best.

When I lost my job, my mother told me that I had to keep my chin up. She told me that you were able to get a good job soon. Despite all of the problems at school, my son kept his chin up and got over them.

Keep your chin up. Keep that chin up. I'd like to say this idiom to my older sister, who is discouraged for now.
