    @tomas alcaber I agree, but sometimes I think it’s innocent. Sometimes the person doesn’t really know what the other person is trying to say. If you’re not well versed in the other language, it’s easy to make that mistake. For example, sometimes a native English speaker will write something and try to translate exactly what we would say in English, into Spanish. Well direct translations do not work a lot of the time. But because I know how we think as English speakers, I know what my fellow native speaker was trying to say. Many Spanish speakers will not know and they will offer a correction that doesn’t fit the situation. Sometimes it’s actually better to get the correction from another native speaker who knows the other language. Unfortunately, HelloTalk isn’t really set up to work this way.

    One of my pet peeves is when native speakers correct learners in a wrong way, I see it quite often in native Spanish speakers, if you dont know just say you dont know but dont make it up.
